Summary
Fate has often been described as the development of events outside of our control, predetermined by a higher or supernatural power. In this case, such a statement could be regarded as partially true— at least when it comes to the four fated heroes that this story pertains to.
Rang and Seung-tak awake to find themselves having swapped places, suddenly surrounded by an unfamiliar environment and people they didn't recognise. Taluipa looked at Yeon, who was busy searching for his next target. She looked mournfully at Yeon and of the life he keeps ruining. First, for a girl and now for his brother.
"Yi Rang's reincarnation is non-negotiable."
It was probably the hundredth time Yeon was told this exact statement for the past few months; and the millionth time for the past two decades.
"Why is it so easy for you to ruin your life?"
Yeon pulled a paper from the board and pocketed it. "If you feel sorry for me then maybe you can help me and ask the higher-ups to consider Rang's reincarnation." He made a smug smile.
"That's non-negotiable."
Yeon rolled his eyes. "As always, I appreciate the warm welcome. I'll go now."
"-because. Yi Rang has already been reincarnated."
Yeon stopped in his tracks. "What?"
"20 years ago."

All he felt was immense coldness and numbness, the universe decided to give him a second chance but it felt more like a punishment instead.
He tried everything he could to avoid his brother but it just made the gumiho seek him out even more.
Or Rang plays hard to get, and Yeon is fascinated by the new troublemaker in his kingdom and wants to learn more about him, even if it goes against his wishes, not realizing that the surly person is actually his brother from another universe.
