The pain numbs... easier to breathe through, as shaky and exhausted as his is. His heartbeat is like a drum in his ears, and it's like he's underwater. The chairman is a blurry blob in his vision— and god, he hates how fucking sunny it is today too...
Noise and blobs....
The flashes of lights are moving...

The action has the dwarf tense, but the words that fall from his mouth next only has Harry nod solemnly.
"He has no idea we're coming."
"I truly doubt he—" Harry freezes as the words catch up to him. "Did you say 'we?'"
It is the dwarf's turn to nod solemnly. "My company has likely arrived by now."
In which: Harry has a horrible, awful, no good, very bad bleeding heart. Bilbo is no better. And it's much easier to blame all problems on Gandalf.
