    Reeve fumbled with his keys outside his modest flat and opened the door half by leaning into it bodily, his hands full with paperwork. He tried to shuffle the paperwork distribution better so he could lock the door behind himself, only to casually look up and drop everything with a shocked yelp at the glowing red eyes only ten feet away.

    "Vincent!" He cried hoarsely, then placed a hand to his chest and breathed in deeply before asking," What the hell are you doing sitting in my kitchen in the dark?"

    He flipped the switch, and then sighed and asked," Why are you bleeding? And… why do you have a kitten?"
