It's a little funny that the guy shares a name with Sam's ex-best friend. The two of them are nothing alike.

Not that they EVER knocked, and it had never mattered before, but this time it did...Sam could not care less about what Sebastian saw him doing, he was just terrified that Sebastian had seen what was playing on his computer screen while he did. Because if he DID then Sam was pretty sure he'd prefer melting down into the floor never to be seen again. ;)

Summary
Sam feels like everything seems to be thrown in his lap, juggling a job, his friends, caring for his brother, and the impending doom of his dad coming home. His only reprieve being the guy in his phone. Over a year ago, an internet argument about Solarian Chronicles led him into the most complicated and admittedly parasocial relationship of his life. Present day, still without any personal knowledge of his friend, he finds himself craving their daily banter and getting giddy at the idea of him. If only he could know him, like really know him.
Sebastian's online presence was his entire career, he spent at least ten hours a day at his PC managing the socials for brands from the city. Getting paid pretty decently, too. Being chronically online had its upsides. An unexpected upside was the idiot in his DMs. It started as a fun side hobby, arguing over his favorite roleplay game with any moron that dared to disagree with him on his personal account. This one was just...a little too fun to argue with. He was different. Entertaining. Maybe too entertaining.

Summary
Sebastian finally got what he wanted: an apartment in the city, a good job in an office, and the privacy to prove to everyone he's more than what they think... until his company lays off 50% of his department, and he's suddenly in free fall again. The decision to move back home is a delicate (shitty, in his opinion) one. He's been gone for three years, and hasn't really kept up with anyone back in the Valley except for Sam. Really, only his mom seems excited for him to come back. Not to mention there's an irritating new farmer whom everyone seems to love except him... but maybe she'll be good for redefining his image.
Dot has lived in the Valley for over a year now, and she's finally settled into the semblance of a new normal. That is until her best friend's older brother moves back to the Valley and causes a tidal wave in his wake. Everyone seems to have an opinion about him, none of them very positive, but there's something about him...
This is a story with fake dating, small town romance, and starting over that makes the characters work for their version of a happy ending.
