Summary
“Where are you going?”
“To the arena, Hollander. We are playing a game in three hours.”
“That’s tomorrow, Rozanov,” Hollander says, smirking like Ilya might be fucking with him and he wants to make sure he’s in on the joke. He looks behind and around him. “Um, can I come inside?”
“Hollander, we have game today. You were here yesterday.”
Hollander is striding toward his kitchen, looking over his shoulder at Ilya like he’s getting tired of the joke. “Very funny. I was in Montreal yesterday, Rozanov.”
“Hollander.” Ilya goes to stand in front of him. Hollander’s eyes flicker up and down his body the way that Ilya usually craves, but is rather unwelcome right now. “Today is Thursday. Game is today. Yesterday, you came to my house. We ate tuna melts, watched Buffalo game. Then, you left.”
“Rozanov, it’s Wednesday morning. And I’ve never been to your house before.”
“Hollander…”
“Look at your phone if you don’t believe me.”
Ilya snorts like a bull and pulls his phone out of his pocket, swipes down on the screen to look at the date.
Wednesday, November 9th.

Summary
Shrugging one shoulder far more casually than he possibly feels, Ilya says, “I like both. Is secret, okay?”
“Okay,” Hollander says, voice cracking.
He doesn’t say anything else. The air’s so heavy around them that it feels like being in the middle of a scrum, the weight and heat of all those bodies pressing down on you. Danger always feels like hockey; it’s the most dangerous thing Ilya knows, except for this. Everything dangerous in his life involves men’s bodies and just how close he can get to them. Closer than he probably should.
A year after mysteriously dropping out of the 2009 draft, Shane Hollander is signed by the Boston Raiders, right behind Ilya Rozanov. Having the two biggest stars in the league on the same line is great for Boston — but playing alongside their worst rival was never exactly in Shane or Ilya's plans. Especially not when staying away from each other starts to feel just as impossible as getting along.

Summary
“Ilya?” Shane calls, and Ilya spins around to see Shane holding the most damning thing he could’ve found in Ilya’s suitcase—that damned Montreal Metros hoodie. “This is mine, isn’t it?”
Ilya freezes. “Eh?”
“How do you have this? I thought I’d lost it ages ago.”
There’s no good way for Ilya to say the truth, which is that: you left it at my house in Boston after you broke my heart for the first time and I kept it so I could wear it occasionally and jerk off while thinking about you when I thought I would probably never be able to have you again and it was the last bit of you I could have, so Ilya settles for the next best thing, which is:
“It… it is not yours.”
Shane shoots him an unimpressed look.
Ilya is really struggling with the fact that he wants to keep Shane forever and steal his clothes and leave dumb hickies on him and wake up to him in the morning. He's working on it.

Summary
“I think. Maybe we try a threesome,” Rose said. Watched as Shane’s face underwent so many expressions at once she worried for a half second he might be having a stroke.
When his face had calmed down, chosen one expression - something bland and rigid - Shane spoke. “Um,” he said. “I. I’m not sure sure if. If that’s what you want, yes, we can, of course. I just don’t think that will. Having another. Woman. There. Would help my. Performance?”
She nodded, squeezed his hand. “I wasn’t thinking of another woman,” she said, interested to see if this would be more or less panic inducing for Shane. “I was thinking a guy. I know Miles would be interested.”
Rose begins her break up/you are gay talk with Shane, and Shane derails it in a last ditch attempt at proving to himself that he can be what he thinks he should be. They agree to give their relationship another go, and are ridiculous about it.
