Summary
Continuing my life’s work of making things that no one wants; fanart of OCs in a 10 year old fanfic for a different fandom than I usually write \o/
I read “Spin Control” in a fugue state rush, after finishing the new SotR book and wanting to read Haymitch fic, and I fell completely in love with their OC district 12 tributes for the 72nd games. They were not the point of the fic, but they were super well done and made me want more of them. So, here I am, talking to myself in a corner, trying to make more of them.

Summary
Set shortly before the beginning of the show, Elrond and Galadriel negotiate their relationship in the shadow of LACE, Aman, and the shifting cultural moors of Second Age Middle Earth. Largely an excuse for some world-building ideas I've had about how rebel Noldor might think about LACE and handle bereavement, and how those attitudes might change over time.

It would be easy to envy Maitillë, as Artanis openly did, for her position in court and the support her father gave her in defiance of Noldorin custom, her intimidating competence in everything she did, to say nothing of her beauty and her height and her eloquence and her grace. But Artanis was young and hadn’t thought it through yet, hadn’t considered the cost.
Set before Such a Marriage, in which the author tries to write a oneshot PWP, fails, and just writes a bunch of character examination instead, oops sorry.
