Summary
Marc has had a huge crush on Nathaniel ever since he enrolled at Françoise DuPont School. The incident in the book with Reverser never happened because Marc is far too shy in his civilian clothes to confess his feelings to the boy he likes.
However, as Rooster Bold, he was confident and could do whatever he wanted with his powers, including spying on Nathaniel Kurtzberg, much to the dismay of his cousin, Ladybug.

Since being kicked off the team, Nathaniel had managed to live a peaceful life with Marc. Even though the days were still chaotic with the akuma attacks, the two lovers always stayed together no matter what. They were happy, but their joy wasn't to everyone's liking.
Even though Marinette had recovered the CapriKid brooches, she was careful to ensure her cousin wasn't hurt by the last person she would have tolerated.. As Marinette, she could keep an eye on Nathaniel. As Ladybug, she watched over Marc.

The crowd applauded and smiled with joy, while one person bit their lip and tried not to cry. The goat hero continued to stare into the green eyes of the writer, who hadn't moved from his seat for a single second.
'Don't worry, Rainbow.' CapriKid tried to make his eyes speak to his lover. 'She's really nothing to me...'

Summary
Nathaniel Kurtzburg definitely was, like everyone else in Paris, appreciative of the heroes, and he especially looked up to Reverser.
They protect the citizens from the dickbag villian hawkmoth, and keep up the spirits of the people so they wouldn’t be Akumatised. Everyone loves them.
One of the heros on the team had once been akumatised, but now, he’s a hero.
Nathaniel smiled at the scene in the middle of the park, where the heros were greeting some of the children playing there. He watches as reverser lets a kid step on his hovering paper plane, moving it up a few feet in the air and coming back down to the ground, causing the child to giggle.
The way the monochromatic hero smiles at the children is…very precious, he thinks. He finds so much joy in simply helping other people. He turns back to his sketchbook in his lap, where he sees the absentminded doodles of the hero he was just ogling at.
He promptly flips to another page of his sketchbook.

Summary
A full, somewhat-standalone rewrite of the episode "Reverser".
Marc is so sure that Nathaniel would never want to collaborate on an art project together. After all, Nathaniel likes to write about girls, and Marc is convinced that he's not the type of person Nathaniel's looking for, not in art or love. But when Marinette finds Marc's diary and reads it against her better judgment, she convinces him to let Nathaniel read it, just to be comic book partners together, never revealing his feelings.
Meanwhile, Nathaniel is hoping Marc will reach out, but things are weird after Nathaniel was akumatized, and he has no idea why or what he did. But when Marinette brings him a hastily censored diary that could only be Marc's, Nathaniel sees through the hidden message and knows Marc has feelings for him. Especially when Marinette says that the diary author wants to be "partners" together.
What could go wrong?
(I would recommend reading my Evillustrator rewrite first.)

But since Marc is also one of his closest friends—and Alix is tired of hearing him rant about how head over heels he is for the writer—Nathaniel doesn’t really know who to talk to.
Luckily, there's one particular friend he met online who promised to be there for him whenever he needs someone.
Little does he know, that very same friend is also the person he’s crushing on.
