Wei Wuxian was tired of waiting. In order to carry out this little scheme of his he had been waiting for almost forty minutes on his knees, hidden under the white tablecloth while all around him the sound of steps echoed across the hall, servants getting everything ready for dinner. He had been meaning to surprise his husband and this was the best idea his kinky brains could come up with.
Lan Qiren came in late to the dinner hall. He surely did not expect the hand that crept up his thigh. -

Once again, the little blue and white octopus taps twice against the glass. Wei Ying goggles.
Then it taps a sequence against the glass. But Wei Ying has worked on enough expedition ships to know Morse code, or at least the most important code of all—SOS.

Lan Wangji has never felt this level of confused frustration before. He is trapped in this cave, injured, still mourning what has happened to his home and his clan, and his partner here in the isolation and terrifying darkness of this place is the exceedingly frustrating Wei Ying. Wei Ying, who thinks now is a perfect time to tease him. Wei Ying who makes a joke that stings harder than he knows. Lan Wangji likes this girl that Wei Ying calls Mianmian? What unmitigated gall for him to say this, when it’s Wei Ying’s image that hovers behind Lan Wangji’s closed eyelids, when it’s Wei Ying’s words that seem to sit under his skin for hours afterward. Lan Wangji feels overwhelmed to the point of crying. He’s never felt so full of tragedy and frustration and helplessness. And now he has to tolerate Wei Ying on top of it all.
And Wei Ying doesn’t look so well all of a sudden.

Wei Wuxian mused sullenly while sipping his wine. He didn’t even notice Jiang Cheng spinning the bottle again until it was stopping, pointed at Wei Wuxian himself and indicating Nie Huaisang should be the one asking the question.
Ah, shit. Here we go again, he winced internally as his friend asked whether he’d like truth or dare. The dares had been working just fine for me. If I stick to them and choose truth only sporadically to throw them off, it’ll be alright.
“Dare! Let’s go!”
Nie Huaisang didn’t miss a beat.
“I dare you to kiss Lan-er-gongzi”
Wei Wuxian gaped. He was only faintly aware of Jiang Cheng spitting out a mouthful of his drink somewhere to his left.
Nie Huaisang grinned.
“On the mouth ”, he clarified.
