“Here’s the thing. We're both here looking for the princess” Catra said, supporting her weight on the table. There was no one close enough to eavesdrop on them, but she leaned a little closer and lowered her tone just in case. “We need to take her to Etheria again, as the Queen demands.”
Adora made a face and looked at them now attentively. You could see from her face that she was questioning their sanity. Hers included. “Isn’t she, like, dead? I don’t really follow the news but wasn’t that the pivot to the revolution there? There was a whole ceremony and the long period of mourning some years ago.”
“Not exactly,” Scorpia vaguely explained. “The royal family did die but the princess’ body is the only one that has never been found. There’s a big controversy about it, but the point is that if there is a chance that the princess could be alive, we need to bring her to Etheria urgently.”
“Excuse me, are you implicating that you think I'm the princess?”

With the war over and no clear evil left to fight, she begins to wonder about her own goodness, the weight of power, and how easily a right choice might become the wrong one. Catra tries to keep her grounded, but Adora can’t tell whether healing is supposed to feel like this.

Summary
Ten years ago, Catra lost a piece of herself when her best friend, Adora, went missing from Shadow Weaver’s group home. For ten years, Catra has struggled with grief and rage at being abandoned by Adora. All of her feelings come to a boiling point when she finds Adora alive and well, working in a nearby diner.
For Adora, it’s a different story. Ten years ago, she was dragged into the woods by a pack of wolves and no one could save her. For ten years, she’s been a human during the summer months, and a wolf in the winter. Only… winters are getting shorter and the wolf is lingering longer and longer. All throughout her struggles, she has never forgotten Catra.

Summary
Everything seemed fine after Adora released the magic of the Heart out in the world and vanquished Prime out of existence. For a few glorious minutes, Catra thought this might be it. No more evils out there, no more war, not a reason out there for them to be apart from each other.
Then Adora passed out for three days, and woke up with no recollection of anything that happened after she broke She-Ra's sword.
Catra never gets to win. Right?
(Adora loses her memory. Catra believes she hates her again - despite everyone telling that, no, she doesn't. Even Adora herself. Repeatedly.)
