My name is Sunny.
Ever since coming to terms with the truth and confessing to my friends two years ago, I was able to turn my life around towards a better future. I moved out with my mom to live in the city, my apartment life has been going smoothly, and I've taken care of myself with a decent part time job.
Things were starting to look up as I turned eighteen this year. My relationships with all my friends have been going well, especially with Aubrey. We seem to be getting along much better as we kept in contact with each other, despite the distance.
Things went downhill when Sweetheart somehow magically appeared into my life one day. Things went further downhill as she keeps actively trying to convince me to marry her.
My life is being actively ruined by someone in my old Headspace based on the main character of a hit Saturday morning tv show.
The longer she stays here, the higher the chances of her screwing up my potential dating life with the girl of my dreams. If I don't find a way to get rid of her soon, I swear I might go crazy and kill myself.
Someone, for the love of God, please save me.
...or kill me. Whichever is more convenient.

Mari blinks a couple more times until her reflection suddenly stops blinking back at her. In an instant her eyebags and tangled hair are gone, replaced with a much younger face, with smooth, monochrome skin and straight, pitch-black hair. The girl in the mirror is like a porcelain doll, lacking any blemishes whatsoever, she’s picture-perfect.
It’s Hikki. Her alter, her guardian, her greatest enemy, and for the past four years, her only friend.
“Well, that went well,” the pale girl mocks.
"Not now."

Subaru wishes he wasn’t so angry.
He prefers to daydream while he’s here because he doesn’t like to think about the here. It’s same old, same old anyway.
Dark concrete box. Chains, with their little intertwined, braid-like patterns, rattling every time he moves just a bit. Dark, dark box. Chains and not rope this time. Haha, it was worse last time, with the rope, with the cramped-up position he was in, with the different kind of humiliation of being spoon fed food.
Now, he just gets tossed food every once in a blue moon like he’s some animal in a cage. Now, he counts down the seconds and minutes until he gets to see someone's face again—and it’s usually Felix and Julius, aha, but Subaru makes sure to be ready for every time they drop by!
You might have heard this story before: Subaru loses his name, loses his mind all trapped in a cell after his friends abandon and torture him for a bit, then he eventually gains his freedom (and maybe even revenge???)... right? But everything goes differently this time………… and maybe, just maybe, he won’t completely lose it all…..
