Summary
Pippa Macfair was raised for a world that no longer exists.
When Rick Grimes finds her outside an abandoned farmhouse on his way to Atlanta, Pippa is hungry, frightened, and fiercely determined to protect nine-year-old Violet at any cost. Rick still believes in promises, decency, and the possibility of finding his family. Pippa has already learned that ordinary people can become dangerous when no one is left to stop them.
With her new group, among strangers trying to rebuild the rules of the old world from scraps, Pippa begins to find something she no longer expects: shelter, purpose, friendship, and a dangerous thread of trust in the man who once came back for her in the rain.
