Summary
Given how and where and when Alastor grew up, he generally doesn't consider himself bad at math. There are all sorts of combinations of sums and division and multiplication he can do without the assistance of an adding machine. He first learned the skill while helping his maman scale up and down amounts in the kitchen. He encountered it again as he started to read music and transpose compositions between different keys for different instruments. Then he honed said skill keeping a close eye on what he should be earning for his hours of work versus what white men tried to pay him, not to mention how tips got allocated out amongst band members. So between cooking and music and money, he’s rather competent day-to-day.
In this particular instance, however, Alastor can admit that he has vastly miscalculated.

Summary
They glance at each other for a moment and then Alastor is taking Lucifer’s hand again and dragging him down the street and into an old cemetery. They weave through rows of above ground tombs, snaking around until Alastor stops at a park-like center. He tugs Lucifer to sit down on a stone bench with him under an enormous old cypress tree, its branches heavy with curtains of Spanish moss. Neither lets go of the other's hand.
“The sun’s gonna come up soon,” Lucifer sighs after a while.
Alastor hums, just starting to get his breathing back under control. “Do you vanish at the first touch of the dawn’s rays?”
“Nah,” Lucifer chuckles. “Vampires aren’t real.”
Alastor's smile is softened by moonlight. “Says the Devil himself who sits beside me.”
This night has been far more wonderful than Lucifer could ever have anticipated. He hasn’t felt this good in… he doesn’t want to think about how long. And he knows he will soon have to return to his chaotic realm and his strained marriage and his lonely existence… but not yet. He doesn't have to leave just yet.

Summary
Adrian is walking up the stairs to the VIP deck of his favorite Berlin goth-industrial club when he catches a glimpse of acidic, glowing green. It is a color he associates with the vitality of sunlight shining through green leaves, with the elegance of light refracting through an emerald, with the seductive movement of a viper in the branches of a tree, and with one singular person.
He smiles to himself when he sees it again, just a blip of color out of the corner of his eye as he accepts his drink from the scantily-clad waitress who tends his usual booth. From within the C-shaped, luxuriously upholstered bench he can see the DJ and all of the dance floor; it has been an excellent place to get lost in loud noise and zone out people-watching, a place to have a drink and just turn off his brain and observe.

“And the surprise doesn’t seem to be going too well, John. Reporters and fans caught the doubles partners shouting at each other during practice just yesterday morning. That can’t be a good sign right before their opening match at the Olympic Games.”
“Definitely not, Gale. They’ve kept their partnership incredibly hush-hush over the past few months—yesterday was the first anyone had seen of them on court as a pair. While there were a few moments where they seemed to work well together, those were overshadowed by the visible tension between the two players.”
“I just wish I was in the room when they made that call: let’s partner the righty with the world’s most elegant one-handed backhand with the lefty whose two-handed shots absolutely pummel the ball across the court. What were they thinking?”
“You have just as much insight as I do.”
The tennis AU only one person asked for and I had to create. I hope there is enough here that if you know fuckall about tennis this will still be fun.

Summary
It was supposed to be straightforward. A casual arrangement that benefited them both. Lucifer would get the intimacy he’d been craving since Lilith left. And Alastor…well, he would get some sorta power high from fucking the King of Hell.
But, of course, nothing in Lucifer’s existence was ever that easy, was it?
Or.

Summary
