Summary
When Decked Out opened, there were only 3 levels. The Dungeon's Master had thrown in hints about a 4th level, but there was no word on when it would be ready. After working on it for weeks, Tango thinks he's ready to put the wardens in and play-test level 4, but the Dungeon suddenly cuts him off. He can't enter. Nobody can enter. It acts strange— Tango thinks it is scared.
Then Tango starts having nightmares. He starts hallucinating: spacing out at random and having these visions. Then he starts randomly losing consciousness either right before or right after the hallucinations. Then he has the dizzy spells, accompanied by the hallucinations and the passing out. He hears this voice, beckoning him into the now-forbidden level. It speaks in a language he doesn't understand. He forgoes it for a while, until the other hermits notice he's acting strange and paranoid. Until one week, during runs, the Dungeon starts acting strange too. Random mechanics are added or altered. The wardens and ravagers and vex and evokers act weird, almost possessed or something.
And something happens to Gem during a run.
He can't ignore it anymore. He has to know what is causing all of this.

Summary

Summary
The under-city wasn't exactly the nicest place, that much Scott was well aware of.
He knew Jimmy still went down there, to visit his dearest friends or his adoptive parents. He also knew there was a lot he didn't understand about that place, the way it operated, how it looked, how it fundamentally shaped Jimmy to have come from the depths of a society below his feet. The man adored the open sky in large part because he'd grown up in the dark, right? He also knew Jimmy's family and friends down there were...shall we say, unique. A cast unlike any he'd ever met, who were unable to pass as humans and stroll the streets beneath the blue sky in disguise. Scott also knew it wasn't his place to ask tough questions, considering how complicated Jimmy's feelings on the under-city obviously were. He's taken things as they've come with Jimmy, and that's how he'll stay.
Color him surprised when Jimmy invites him to a family dinner, with plans to meet his other friends along the way.{In which Scott is bracing for some serious shovel talk, Jimmy wants everyone to realize he's a grown adult already, Pearl and Grian are never ones to pass on a golden opportunity, Etho wins a bet, and so, so, so many others get a word in.}
