Leon was supposed to be a cop. Raccoon City’s gold-star boy, sparkling eyes and dressed in blue, eager to serve and protect his community. Now, the only serving he did was at a dive bar downtown, owned by his friend, Luis. It wasn’t a bad place to work - in fact, the chaos was the perfect distraction, one of the many things Leon did to stop himself from thinking about *it*. Drinking, working, sex and the occasional cigarette, all were excellent temporary solutions to Leon’s biggest problem: remembering.
Tonight, a wide-shouldered, scarred-up stranger was sitting at the bar. He should have been no different to Leon’s normal flings: fuck, sleep over in an apartment leagues nicer than his own, take an actually hot shower, then leave quietly, never to be seen again.
