    This feeling of wrongness, this numbness, the emptiness of his hands, is a heartbreak. One he can’t explain the origins of, doesn’t know the cause of, but a heartbreak nonetheless.

    Mikage Furnace stands out behind his eyes, a graveyard more than anything else. Childe thinks he knows what happened there, centuries ago, although he can’t explain how he even knows something happened. The deserted village seems so utterly important and yet he can’t pinpoint what about it feels the closest to fulfillment.

    To be a Harbinger for the Cryo Archon, the God of love — and yet kneel at her feet as an empty vessel, untouched by any love. To be her warrior, her weapon, and have his heart broken regardless.

     

    Or: Scaramouche deletes himself from Irminsul. Childe doesn’t remember him, but he remembers being in love. When he runs into Wanderer in Sumeru, he can’t help but feel like he knows him.
