Summary
The trio's search for the Horcruxes was abandoned when Griphook absconded with the Sword of Gryffindor, leaving the three – traumatised and disheartened – to return to join the rest of the Order in the ongoing brutal war against Voldemort. The Risk'verse Quartet is an epic, coming-of-age wartime series that follows Hermione, Draco, and the Order of the Phoenix throughout an extended war, and then onward into the aftermath. It's a realism-focused character and relationship study, with dual POV, angst and hurt/comfort, slow emotional burn w/ glacial physical burn, bickering & banter, a secret relationship, Classical Latin as a love language, violence and gore, coping with broken families, and how the brutal toll of war and trauma changes people.
But at the heart of it all, it's about a love that eclipses everything else.
