Vi leans in, a sly grin tugging at her mouth. “You never asked.”

The idea that she was speaking to someone with a name spelled C-R-U-I-S-E had her doubting her reality. Wondering whether she was stuck in a terrible dream. But it was all real. It is all real. Ehsan. Nawaf. Cruz. The hickeys covering her body.
