Summary
Trunks has always been sure of himself in all areas of his life. He knows who he is and what he wants, so why does everything keep going wrong? Broken hearts, self-inflicted pressure, and a best friend who muddles the lines of their relationship certainly doesn't help. After one unfortunate event he's forced to look in the mirror, and finally confront who is staring back at him.

Summary
Videl ends up stranded with her best friends on a school trip into space gone wrong, by error of some cosmic entity not interested in helping them. They run across another cosmic entity- this one a boy who looks just like them, but to which everything about their lives on Earth seems foreign. He decides to help them back to their home, and she decides to help him back to his family - but things are more complicated than they seem. Can they reunite him with a father he's convinced is dead and a family he thinks he can't have, before he dies fighting a battle they can't understand?
Or: Gohan, having been fighting for years in space holding onto scraps of intimacy with his best friend and a certain time traveler he may be in love with, and his family, who are on his missing persons case.
Gohan is at peace with dying (or so he thinks). His friends refuse to accept this reality. Videl won't let someone die without even getting a chance. Lime won't let her friend disappear without a fight. The universe conspires against them. Goku won't lose his son for a second time.
