Summary
What if Hagrid caught a nasty case of dragonpox, and was unable to introduce Harry Potter into the wizarding world? What if the only other person who Dumbledore trusted to handle the situation, who was not otherwise indisposed, was a very reluctant Severus Snape? What if this one difference created a butterfly effect that would change Harry Potter's life, and the future of the wizarding world forever?

Summary
Severus Snape had made his choices long ago and would never forgive himself. He lives a life of regret for what he has done and resentment for what has been done to him. Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban, but the horror of his wrongful imprisonment cannot be forgotten. Every day he faces a battle that no one else can ever truly understand, but love for Harry and hope for a better world and the family they'll someday be gives him the strength to keep fighting with an open heart. Harry Potter has always had too much asked of him but he's never had to fight alone. While being forced by Dumbledore to learn Occlumency from Snape over the summer, he realizes that he's had a protector in the professor all along. I’ve really like reading this so far!! I like the development between Harry and Snape over the years and how you can slowly see their trust build. I can’t wait to see 5th year happen!

Summary
Set during the summer after Harry's Fifth Year. The fifteen-year-old is struggling to cope with his godfather's recent death, ridden with guilt, shame, remorse, and much internal conflict, depression looming on the horizon. The Dursleys aren't helping things either. Things take a sudden twist for the worse when the Blood Wards around Privet Drive fall, rendering Harry unsafe. What's the solution? Dumbledore arranges for Harry to stay with his most hated person after Voldemort and Umbridge: Severus Snape. In isolation. For two weeks. It goes without saying that neither wizard is pleased, and their feelings of mutual hatred are much reciprocated. And with a ticking sleep-deprived Gryffindor time-bomb, that right there is a recipe for a dangerous concoction.
Angst, hurt/comfort, emphasis on psychology and character developement. Super slice-of-life kind of story where every chapter is one day of the two weeks our two favorite characters have to spend in isolation. And the chapters are LONG. Panic attacks, stress, anxiety all based off of personal experiences. Written in third-person omniscient. Heavy emphasis on internal conflict, feelings, emotions, and learning to cope with life's shit.

I enjoyed this a lot, a very slow burn indeed. Harry and Snape have finally formed some semblance of a bond by the end, so I’m excited to read the sequel!

This story gave me so many conflicting emotions… Harry’s ‘fate’ of death destroying him mentally but Snape is there to help him. Their growing relationship as they fight against Albus. I really loved how Harry changed his mind and how he’s healing…. I’m so sad this story is unfinished as it was getting extremely intriguing and left off at the biggest cliff hanger. There was something very raw and desperate and overall I loved the characterization. Maybe in another life it’ll be complete and I’ll read to my hearts content <3
