Summary
After a brutal assault, Starscream reports the crime to Officer Dreadwing of the Special Victims Unit. Professional, competent and seemingly trustworthy, Dreadwing begins inserting himself into Starscream's life under the guise of protection. What starts as care becomes control and Starscream, broken from trauma, mistakes the cage for safety.
(Fic currently paused but will be continued once the right mood strikes me again. I'm a finisher, I don't abandon things.)

Summary
The war is over, Megatron has been slain at the hands of the Autobots. Shockwave had managed to pull Starscream away just before he jumped in to recklessly avenge his master.
The war is over now... At least to Starscream, now he has a few plans of his own once he calms down from the loss of Megatron: To regain his old frame, and to return to Earth and pick up someone left behind. As he does this plan, he will have the old memories he'd long since buried, resurface while he gains new bonds with an enemy and two others.
