Summary
In the wake of Peter Parker erasing himself from the memories of his friends and family, not to mention the entire universe, he's doing as well as can be expected. Three years later, he's attending ESU, trying to work three jobs alongside getting two degrees, and still going out as Spider-Man. He's fine, really. Everything is just fine. That is until a run-in with the law and a DNA test shatter the carefully constructed facade that Peter had made his life.

“Your blood matches a sample the FBI has on file from a kidnapping case.” Agent Carisi opens the thicker file. “A four-year-old boy taken while on vacation with his father about twenty years ago.”
Peter’s breathing speeds up.
“Authorities took fingerprint and DNA samples from the boy’s room, and at the father’s behest, we continue to test them against any that are placed within any system we have access to.”
A piece of paper with lab results lays atop the file. It gets picked up and placed on the table.
“This afternoon, we finally got a match.” -

Summary
Sokovia was gone, and with it, Pietro went, too. Was she supposed to feel better knowing that he died to protect others? Did knowing he sacrificed himself somehow absolve all the guilt and grief? No, but Tony Stark seemed to think it should. His lack of patience—of empathy—infuriated Wanda. She didn’t understand how someone could be so cruel.
--
It’s Peter’s fault Uncle Ben died. He’d run off after a fight about Peter’s behavior at school and Ben went looking. Ben got shot by a mugger that he hadn’t stopped. Aunt May died because he’d been stupid. He’d been reckless, crossing into Manhattan as Spider-Man—hadn’t been close when the crash happened. If he’d been there, he’d have heard it. He’d have gotten May out. Things would’ve been okay.
--
He looked worse than Natasha imagined. God, he looked way worse than she ever imagined. Spider-Man was a skinny kid. A young, helpless kid.
--
or, Peter is homeless after Aunt May dies and a series of less-than-ideal foster homes. Wanda leaves the Avengers Compound because she'd rather do anything else before living off Stark's blood money. Somewhere in the middle, Natasha is threatening Clint about being called 'maternal'.Series
