Summary
He looked up as Abbot walked toward Dana to greet her, the man having already briefed Dr. Robby. “I gotta get going, with the missus out of the house I might get a full eight hours.”
Okay this had to be a joke. Some big prank on him by his attendings, both of whom he happened to be sleeping with, to attempt to get a rise out of him. But of course the world didn’t work that way and he was the one in the wrong here sleeping with not one but two married men. He could get sad and hurt again in a minute but right now he was just– well honestly he couldn’t quite name this emotion but he was feeling a lot of it.
Robby had a husband who he spends his days off with and probably loves very much, but apparently not enough to not sleep with a med student he works with. Now Abbot had a wife? Summary
Dennis is immediately distracted from his task choosing from the vending machine. Tilting his head down, he bounces her slightly on his hip, swaying from one side to the other. His mouth is moving, though Robby can’t hear what he’s saying from here. His cheeks are a little flushed, too.
“Do I need to remind you two that you’re professionals?” Dana comments from behind them. Robby mildly snaps out of it— well, enough to turn and see Jack beside him doing just as he’s doing: staring openly at Dennis with the tiny child. “He’s just holding a baby. And besides, you shouldn’t be ogling one of your students.”
“He’s not a student anymore,” Robby corrects her at the same time Jack protests, “We’re dating him.”
“You shouldn’t be ogling anyone, I don’t care what your excuses are.”
