Summary
At least he still got to watch Buck hike. He was wearing a pair of shorts that were far too short to get past any public indecency laws, and his tank top was loose and showed off the sides of his pecs. He had one of those stupid as fuck caps covering his curls, and his skin was glistening and sweaty and - so maybe Eddie had a thing for big, beefy men working out, but his boyfriend was big and beefy and loved to workout, so no harm, no foul.
OR
Buck and Eddie go on a hike. They fuck. That's it.

Summary
There had always been a thread connecting Buck and Eddie together.
From the moment they met, it was just BuckandEddie. No space between them. Through every disaster, every close call, every time the world tilted sideways—they felt it. Just an invisible string keeping the two tethered as one.
Neither of them ever expected that line to break.
And they certainly never thought it breaking would end with Buck getting swallowed whole by hundreds of pounds of rubble.
Or a rewrite of 8x18 where the zip line breaks and Buck gets trapped beneath the rubble.

Summary
“You ever think the universe is laughing at you?” Buck asked, looking back out over the city.
“Not particularly.” Hen said gently.
“It’s funny. Like, the whole, when you get to rock bottom and you don’t think there’s any more, any further to fall, right? But then it turns out you were wrong. Rock bottom wasn’t actually rock bottom. It was the overhang.”
“Overhang for what?” Hen asked worriedly.

A small thing can topple the strongest of resolves. For Buck, it's been one thing after another after another. But he doesn't snap, he doesn't get loud, he doesn't want to be more of a burden.
