"I am interested," Prowl admitted, the words sounding foreign and unfamiliar on his glossa.
Jazz stared at him, certain he had misheard. "Interested? In what? My amateur analysis of bridge engineering? Or my completely fabricated theories on energon cohesion?" He let out a short, incredulous laugh. "Come on, your Grace. You don't have to play games. You caught me. Just tell me what the price is."
Prowl took a step closer, his movements deliberate and graceful. "It seemed to me," he said, his voice dropping to a low, intimate register that sent a jolt straight to Jazz’s interface panel, "that in the ballroom, you were attempting to initiate a courtship. Or was I misreading the subtext of our conversation?"

It started with Sideswipe being roused from sleep due to very loud neighbours. However learning about Prowl's unusual properties it lights a fire in him that he didn't know existed.

Prowl hates escorting around rich aft mecha, they’re always rude, stuck up, and full of themselves. But when he’s assigned Enforcer Liason to pop star Jazzmeister, Prowl discovers not all celebrities are like that.
After too short a time, Jazz must leave again on his tour, and he and Prowl are parted. But circumstances will bring them together again. If only a little mistake hadn’t led them to think that each hates the other!

But as a mech shows up, seeming to fit the evidence perfectly, and layers upon layers of the case unravel, Prowl can't help but feel like something is going very wrong.
