He's staring at the rude boy’s back the whole time they’re walking, his ears tuning out all the whispers and murmurs from the people they’re passing by as he studies the boy before him.
Its obvious that the boy has been training hard for the past two years as the hand that’s holding his wrist is rough and full of scars, and the boy leading him is now almost a head taller than him while the wooden sword strapped on his hips look longer and heavier. If Cale remember correctly, they have the same height back then. Now he feels a bit smaller.

After throwing up, Cale leaned against the toilet, resting there for a long while. His stomach had finally settled, but a strange sensation crept over him.
He felt a pair of eyes on him— But no one had entered the bathroom.
The mirror.
Maybe he was just paranoid.
Maybe he’d mistaken his own reflection for someone else.
But he hadn’t.
What stared back at him from the mirror wasn’t his reflection.
It wasn’t his bathroom at all.
In fact, it showed a completely different space.
And on the dirty floor of that other space sat a boy.
“...Can you.. see me?”
