    Summary

Yuna's hand meets Ilya’s. The rivalry status that the league had painted over her son's relationship with the Russian now cast aside. They clutch to each other in silent acknowledgement of their shared pain, hope and fear in what had just manifested before their eyes. There's a uniting force in pain and grief—It's one that wipes slates clean, makes you forgive, makes you love harder and appreciate more than you ever thought possible. Everything she ever knew or felt about the Russian whose hand she now clung to was dissolved

Shane Hollander briefly dies on the ice after the hit from Marlow in the Montreal vs Boston Game. Ilya handles his emotions poorly and has a very public meltdown revealing their relationship to the world.

This was like watching a tragedy and having it suddenly turn into a romcom, the emotional whiplash I have been feeling oml.

3 times someone observes how Mike treats Will after they get together, and one time he considers it himself.

    Damn

Mike is realistically a codependent little shit, Will doesn't mind because while he'd never say it to Mike's face he's just as bad and loves the fact that to Mike he is always, always the most important person in a room.

    Summary

Will Byers is a 25-year-old artist living in Manhattan with Robin, his roommate. He’s scraping by—teaching art lessons to kids and working as a programmer for an office job.

Mike Wheeler, 24, works downtown as an accountant, playing guitar on the weekends. Mike remembers all of the fucked up shit that happened to Will. But, more than anything else, he remembers that boy from years ago.

Meeting in a writer’s group session wasn’t exactly what either of them had in mind.

A long-form story about romance, work, art, trauma, growth, and sex in the city.

    Bookmarker's Notes

    Oml, this is beautiful.

Idk if you ever read these, and this is a little personal to put in a comment. But if you happen to ever see this, here are some thoughts from another gay man.

Reading this makes me incredibly happy. To see queer people; especially other queer men be happy, makes me feel so ridiculously euphoric because while I know logically that the world isn't as bad as it used to be it's so hard to find any media that shows queer couples not just being happy, but being angry and sad and still making it work. You've captured a level of domestic pain and joy that is really hard to find anywhere and it just gives me an unfortunately unrealistic amount of hope for where I could end up in the future. The fact that you're also a queer guy writing this with an understanding of how it actually is as a gay guy in some of these situations brings me added joy (no hate to any women who (respectfully) write queer men to the best of their abilities). The fact that you're representing this in a way I can very much relate to and understand makes it more of a beautiful read.
