Summary
For as long as Tails can remember, Sonic's always made up a different story about how they first met. He's said he found Tails following him through the jungle, that he fell on him from out of a tree, that he caught him fixing his plane... It has become a constant just how inconsistent he can be with all these different versions of the same story. But Sonic's just having a bit of fun and exercising his right as his big brother to mess with him a little. Over the years it became their own silly tradition in a way.
Until Tails realizes the real reason why Sonic doesn't tell it right.
Time isn't a straight line, and the stitches holding their story together are a little uneven, but like Sonic says, the how isn't always what matters. That it happened at all is what does.

"Please don't!" Raven choked out her words in between sobs. She sounded like she was in excruciating pain. Beast Boy felt sick, bile rising in his throat. Normally, he would NOT have entered her room under any circumstances (he learned well from the mirror incident with Cyborg). But this was not a normal moment. Raven was not okay. She sounded like she was in danger, in pain. The adrenaline was pouring out of her. Something was definitely wrong. Beast Boy found himself opening her door and entering her room without hesitation.
