When asked if he’d wanted the 104th or the 212th, Cody should have said the 104th.
“Cody? Are you upset, dear?”
(In the last year of the war, Count Dooku snaps and changes sides. He wants Sidious crushed, and he knows just how to ruin him. First, however, he needs to get his hands on the only one who knows what Sidious is truly capable of. Thankfully, his lineage is there to help, regardless of whether they or their unhappy Clone Commanders want to or not.)

Weird for him, specifically. Cody had learned early on into their command partnership that it did not behoove him to apply any of his own preconceived notions to Obi-Wan Kenobi; not as a commanding officer, not as a Jedi, not as a natborn, not as a man.

Obi-Wan Kenobi has gotten very used to dealing with his heats since the start of the war by working through the hormone surge on the battlefield rather than in the bunk, but when his cycle instead finds the 212th stuck guarding an uncontested hyperlane at the behest of the Senate, it leaves him a little short on options. Cody, staunch professional that he is, only makes matters worse--and then so, so much better.
