Is it pre series? Is it canon divergence? Is it time travel?
I don’t know what it was, but it hooked me. I laughed out loud, I hunted for Easter eggs, I got to meet the Mary Winchester we all should have had in canon. And the boys she should have got to raise.
A+ work, I will read again!

Summary
Just west of the town Porthgwarra, Cornwall, Robert Singer’s farm lies, a mess of ravaged land gaping out onto a fretting sea. But I will, this is beautifully written. Tender and poetic, as if we didn’t know Castiel would fall in love with Dean; it still makes my heart explode to read it.

And since they’re both bored and neither of them are in a relationship (because they don't do relationships), why not try to get out of their ruts by having roleplay sex with each other? Sure it’s a little different, a little wild, but that’s the point. They both need something completely out of their comfort zones to break them out of the humdrum of hookups and the bar scene, and they trust each other enough to commit wholly to the process. When they’ve scratched the itch, they’ll go back to their usual ways.
But the more they take on new roles, the more they shed old ones, leading them to evaluate who they really are, who they want to be, and who they want to be with.
