After the Dendro Archon gets rid of the Akasha, the people of Sumeru are able to dream again. Along with dreams, a new phenomenon has begun to occur in which two individuals can share a dream. In Sumeru, the only person you can naturally share a dream with is your soulmate. The only downside is that once the dream is over, the only identifiers the dreamer can remember about their soulmate in order to find them are their names and a vague idea of what they look like.
In which Kaveh and Alhaitham start sharing dreams and Alhaitham hides the fact that they’re soulmates from Kaveh.

People keep coming up to Kaveh to congratulate him. Kaveh doesn’t really know why, and he’s a little too scared to ask at this point, so he heads back home, content if not a little bemused.
He is, unfortunately, reminded of it the very next day, when the door slams open and Al-Haitham stalks in. “Mind telling me why everyone was congratulating me today?” he demands. “About your pregnancy?"
Or: Al-Haitham is, without a doubt, the most annoying person Kaveh knows. Maybe the world’s second-most annoying person can help Kaveh figure him out.

Summary
Never again. Kaveh has threatened to leave several times before. They've fought more times than he can count. However, this is the first time he went through with his words, gathering every memory he made with him. The only evidence that someone ever lived in this room are the rumpled sheets in the corner of the neatly arranged bed, as if someone had been sitting on it before leaving.
When Alhaitham walks back to the living room to stare at his spare key, he realizes his forgotten tea has gone cold.
Peace and quiet, didn't he say?-
Kaveh leaves for good, wasn't that what he wanted?
