Summary
Rin Okumura wasn’t always the Antichrist. Up until about a week ago, he’d been human—just a regular teenager living under the roof his adoptive father who also happened to be a preist. Now? He’s Satan’s spawn, destined to bring about the apocalypse. It’s enough to make anyone’s head spin, but for Rin, the weight of it is unbearable. He was raised to believe in God, in salvation, in the goodness of humanity. Now all that faith feels like a cruel joke, replaced with the knowledge that he’s the enemy of everything he held sacred. Summary
“Good morning, future exorcists,” was the first thing they heard when the door burst open. The exwires were met with the uncannily cheerful attitude radiating from their headmaster. The mood in the room shifted; cheerful Mephisto was never good news.
“Hello, Mr. Faust,” Yukio greeted the man, doing his best to sound welcoming, “to what do we owe this visit?”
Mephisto theatrically took off his hat and grabbed something inside it. In a puff of pink, glittery smoke, he pulled out what looked like an official letter.
“I have a special mission from the Vatican for you.”
The students perched up in their seats, some looking curious, others looking nervous.
“You will all be sent for a diplomatic meeting with a certain individual that the Vatican wants on their side.” Mephisto read while widely grinning. “Your job will be to get him to join the True Cross, while also gaining information on him and his weaknesses in case the alliance doesn’t work.”

Rin, eyes lidded, pressed his nose into the crook of Shima’s neck and breathed.“God, you smell good. What the hell do you have on?”
“N-nothing really, just body wash, I mean—” Rin doesn’t have the capacity to really recognize the distinct tremble in the other boy's voice.
“If this is some sort of prank, it’s really not funny, man!” Shima blurts.
Rin moves Shima’s shirt collar to the side with shaky fingers, burying his nose in his collar bone. He nips the skin there and Shima practically leaps.
“R-Rin.” He sounds more serious, now, for sure. Rin gazes at him through his lashes.
