    The battle is over. With Susie and Ralsei knocked out, with the soul weakened and only them and the Knight left standing, Kris finds time to think. Obeying the Knight should not feel any different than obeying the soul. And yet, as they try to reassure the Knight of their devotion after the soul had nearly ruined it all, they find that kneeling doesn’t feel half as bad if you do it out of your own free will. The fear they feel towards the Knight may be all-consuming, but the freedom they find in obedience is far, far sweeter.
