Nobara shoved herself towards her own bed like it was something foreign to her, and lowered herself next to the girl, who chuckled again and turned her head to face upward. Nobara mirrored this position and also stared at the ceiling, with no necessarily coherent thoughts other than how preposterous it was that she had a stranger in her bed and she wasn’t even freaking out about it – Or was she? She couldn’t exactly tell. If the way she tensed beside the stranger and subconsciously mimicked her pace of breathing counted as freaking out, then it was an unfamiliar form of freaking out to Nobara, for the only freaking out she was accustomed to was the obvious kind. As far as Nobara was concerned, she was not freaking out.

Kugisaki Nobara's best friends are moving out of their shared apartment, but it's not so bad because she meets a girl she can't stop thinking about at their farewell party.

"Can I get your number?" Nami asked. To her surprise, this earned her a smirk across Miss All Sunday's full, red lips. Even more surprisingly, Miss All Sunday leaned in, close enough that Nami could feel the warmth of her breath on her chin and see the browns and golds threaded through the green of her eyes and smell nothing but her expensive perfume, cherry. Fuck. Nami held her ground despite the blush burning up her cheeks, tilted her chin up and brought their faces just a touch closer, and Nami watched Miss All Sunday's pupils go wide.
"Goodnight, Miss Mikan." Miss All Sunday said, low and far too intimate and sexy for the rejection it was. Nami still took it for what it was and nodded. She let her eyes drag over Miss All Sunday's pretty face one last time and then tucked her tail and stepped across the threshold. She made it three steps down the hall before she heard Miss All Sunday's voice behind her. "Oh, and Miss Mikan."
