Summary
5 years after the war, Mike finally dares to come back to Hawkins, and just when he thought he was ready, he finds out Will has a boyfriend. So what does he do? He calls up his new best friend, Veronica, and she comes down to Hawkins for support, but also to help him win Will back.
This is just an idea, but I want to know if you think this would be something people will read because I know it's a bit overused. Also, if you want me to add anything to the plot, just tell me in the comments.

Mike and Veronica both pinning for their best friends decide to fake date to make them jealous and when they suspect their plan is actually working they can't help but wonder if the signals are real feelings and genuine or if they're letting their deepest desires cloud their judgment.

Summary
There stood Mike, frozen like a statue. In front of him, Will was bent over, digging through the fruit drawer of the refrigerator. After a moment, Will straightened up with a ripe peach in hand. Ted watched his son continue staring at the exact spot Will’s backside had just occupied, wearing an expression of pure, hopeless longing.
Ted considered quietly backing out of the room.
"For God's sake, Michael," He said, instead. "Either take something out or close the door. I'm not paying to refrigerate the whole neighborhood."
Will turned around, blinking in mild confusion.
Mike’s face bloomed bright red. The blush was quickly overtaken by a scowl. He slammed the refrigerator door hard enough to rattle every magnet on it. “I was getting something! Sorry it took more than two seconds-"
“When exactly did your mother start storing the snacks in the back pockets of Will’s jeans?”
“Oh my God.” Mike spun on his heel and stormed toward the stairs. “You are so-" The rest was lost to thundering footsteps and the inevitable slam of his bedroom door.
Or, Ted realizes sometimes you need to be locked in the closet before coming out of it.

Summary
An impatient sigh escapes Mike's throat, “Will. I kind of just wanted to hang with you.”
Will's heart aches at the way he says it. Why couldn't he have just been a good best friend and not lock himself away from everyone?
Will turns his head, studies him and takes a deep breath. “I’m sorry, Mike.” A sadness washes over him looking at Mike's expression. Something is bothering him. “Are- Are you okay? Is there something you wanna talk about?”
Mike looks down, drawing in the sand with his fingers. Then looks at Will, moving his mouth around in a nervous way. “It’s not something specific. I just needed you.”
Will's heart almost sprints out of his ribs. Needed him? Mike needed him?
“What's going on Mike? Talk to me.”
OR
The two nights before Mike gets married will be marked as the nights that changed Mike and Will forever. Truths get brought up, and its just what they need. Even if that means they do something they shouldn't.

He can feel Will’s nose against his skin, breathing him in. “You can do it, baby. One more, just one more. So good for me, Mike, being such a good girl.”
Mike can’t help the way he tightens around Will, quivering in his hold. He nods, unable to even agree verbally.
