Summary
Harry’s hands cramp and shake as writes his lines on dotted paper. I must not tell lies. Each letter is painstakingly, properly formed, equal heights and properly rounded. Anything less would mean re-writing the entire page and Harry doesn’t want to do that.
Across the room, Umbridge stares at Harry, her eyes appearing enlarged by the glasses perched at the end of her nose.
“Keep writing, Potter.”
A loud knock echoes around the room and Harry jumps, startled.
“Stay put.” Umbridge scowls at him, and gets up to see who it is. She opens the classroom door.
Oh, Merlin. It’s Sirius.

Aka. Sirius gets his godson away from Umbridge and makes sure Harry knows that he's loved.

Summary
Going into his third year after the worst beating of his life wasn't necessarily something Harry was expecting to do that year. Sure, he was pretty used to being slapped around by now, but when his aunt Marge came to stay for a week, she had taken it to a new level of hell. He would've rather faced down the Basalisk again than spend even a moment more with this evil woman and her dog.
Or- Harry gets abused by his aunt and uncle, accidentally blows up his aunt, then has to pretend that everything is fine when his friends get worried. Oh, and there seems to be a murderer after him, but that's besides the point.

Summary
Harry sits in front of the Gryffindor fireplace, fiddling with the Marauders’ Map. Ron, Hermione and most of the other Gryffindor students have already retreated to their dorms for the night, but Harry lingers. So much has happened in the past few weeks since Harry told Sirius about Umbridge and her seven-hour long blood quill detentions. It’s quite literally been life changing. Umbridge had been fired, gone to trial and sentenced to Azkaban, Fudge had been forced to resign, and Sirius had gotten his trial and was declared innocent.
Sirius had promised to talk to him tonight. He hadn’t specified how or what time in his owl – hence Harry staying up by the fire with Marauders’ Map in one hand and his father’s invisibility cloak in the other.
The fire crackles, sending a few sparks towards the map. Harry quickly bats them away, and resumes studying it. This late, there’s barely anyone in the castle hallways–
Harry freezes. He rubs his eyes, wondering if he’s hallucinating, but no it’s still there.
Sirius O. Black is on the fourth floor. In Hogwarts.
