Summary
It was a Friday when the video dropped.
“What is happening?” He asked St Simon, who was holding his phone tight to his chest, his expression odd. “Someone has died?”
Across the room he could see Marlow moving slowly upright from where he had been doing floor stretches, his phone in his hand as well, his face pinched.
“It’s Hollander,” St Simon said.
The bottom of Ilya’s stomach fell out, closely followed by the rest of Ilya’s organs. His chest hurt so acutely that he thought he must be having a heart attack.
“Not dead,” St Simon added quickly, reaching out to grab Ilya’s shoulder when Ilya’s knees actually buckled. “Jesus, sorry. I should have - no it’s just -”
“Someone tell me what the fuck is going on,” Ilya snapped, “and everyone else shut up.”
Marlow reached him now, held his phone out to Ilya, open already to an article with a headline huge enough Ilya could easily make out the HOLLANDER blaring out of it even before his eyes focused and he took the phone from Marlow.
A video is posted online, for Shane it feels like a death sentence. For some parts of him, it is.

Ilya blinked at the page for a moment, then looked up at Shane and laughed.
Shane immediately grew defensive. "Oh, fuck you! I was trying to be nice." He pulled the book back, but Ilya stopped him when he turned to walk away.
"Shane Hollander."
"What?"
"Privet. Hello."
"Oh." Shane's pronunciation hadn't been remotely close. "And what about...?" He pointed to the Russian phrase he'd overly-ambitiously tried first.
"Dobroye utro."
"Ah. Good morning," Shane said sheepishly.
"Good morning," Ilya repeated with the most genuine smile Shane had seen from him yet.

Ilya Rozanov, rising star of the Soviet Union's infamous Red Army team shocked the world in 1989 when he suddenly defected to Canada to play for a mediocre MLH team.
Shane Hollander, underappreciated and deeply closeted third-liner on said team, was perhaps the most shocked of everyone. The cocky Russian phenom hadn't made the best impression on Shane during a brawl at World Juniors a couple years prior, but when a noticeably sullen Ilya arrived in their locker room, Shane couldn't help but reach out to him.

“Brutally honest,” Jamie says, as if he’s still trying to get the point across. “No more secrets.”
Roy stares at him. “Yes. I know what words mean.”
“Okay,” Jamie says, and then he says, “I talked to Keeley about maybe being bisexual because that night we fought over her I wasn’t just jealous about her.”
Or: Roy Kent finds himself in a situation. Fuck everyone, and Jamie Tartt in particular (gently, on soft sheets, all night long – ugh).

Summary
At the beginning of his senior year, Nursey immediately (if unwillingly) realizes two things in quick succession.
One: A large portion of the Samwell student body is apparently into Dex, even if the guy is completely oblivious to this fact.
And two: For reasons that Nursey refuses to verbalize, he has a pretty big problem with that.
