Sokka's got his hands full raising his sister on his own and trying to scrape his way through college for a degree he desperately needs. He doesn't have time for cute boys, especially not irritating ones with scars who take theatre class way too seriously. Sokka doesn't have time for anything except for his sister and the future he's trying to build for her, and he's perfectly alright with that.
As Iroh would say, however, life has a funny way of making time for itself.

Summary
The first time that Sokka sees his childhood nemesis after ten years of blissful separation, he makes out with him in front of his homophobic family. Zuko's proposal- that they fake a relationship for a summer of public events on Sokka's home island to mess with his father and grandfather- is absolutely ludicrous, and it definitely won't work. Not only is Sokka straight, but he and Zuko have hated each other for as long as he can remember.
Then Sokka realizes he can use it to his own advantage as well. It's just for the summer, right?

Summary
“You know, if you ever need more canvas space for your chalk art, my driveway is always open to you,” Sokka says to Izumi, glancing at Zuko, which— wow. He had almost forgotten how gorgeous Sokka’s eyes are. That, plus he is being sweet to his daughter? Zuko quickly covers up whatever cheesy expression is certainly on his face.
Izumi’s smile widens a little bit and she nods. Zuko manages to wish Sokka a good day at work and Sokka’s gaze on him lingers for a second before he thanks him and gets in his car.
So no, he doesn’t need Iroh’s help in setting him up with anyone. Because he has spent the last few months fantasizing about Sokka, and he is not ready to give that up nor to cue Iroh in and risk any interference.
(or, Zuko and Sokka are neighbors, Izumi is a sidewalk chalk enthusiast, and Iroh and Azula love pestering Zuko about his love life)

Summary
Zuko turns into a baby dragon by accident. Chaos ensues.
Sokka slowly stood, wary of the creature on his back. The Zuko on his back. He realized with a start that the little thing was trembling as it gripped onto him, heart beating erratically. When his friends started walking up to him, he could hear a hissing sound coming from right under his ear. Even if it wasn’t directed at him, it was still terrifying.
“Wow,” Aang exclaimed, continuing to step forward even at lizard-Zuko’s obvious protest. “He’s a baby dragon!”
Now that left Sokka in shock. “Dragon?”
“Yep! Dragon.” Aang slowly extended a finger towards dragon-Zuko, an enthralled grin on his face. Zuko was clearly offended (or terrified), and Sokka felt him shift around so only his head poked out of Sokka’s collar.
“Yeah, I don’t think he likes that,” Sokka said, lowering Aang’s hand.
Takes place between episodes "The Boiling Rock" and "The Southern Raiders"
