Black wanted to reach out for something, anything to help but they knew they couldn't let anyone see them like this. Even if they could somehow get past the embarrassment writhing within their chest that rendered them totally incapable of asking for help, this was very much against company code. In fact it was grounds for immediate expulsion if the corporate boot licking captain or any of his little ass kissing snitches found out. So they had no choice but to wait it out and hope it passed eventually.
