Summary
On a mission between Anaxes and Kaller, Tech and Echo make the only choice they can: stay behind enemy lines so that their brother can complete the mission. But what begins as a tactical sacrifice becomes something far worse when Echo wakes damaged and disoriented in a prison cell aboard an unfamiliar transport — with Tech wounded and trapped in the neighboring cell.

Summary
Echo had never had any particular talents. He'd never sought to be special, never tried to break the mould. He'd never aspired to be anything more than a clockwork soldier, watching his far more brilliant brothers rise up above him. He'd never expected to wake up one day and find out that he was, in fact, the last of them.
Funny old galaxy, really.
Now he was in the Bad Batch and one thing he was rapidly beginning to understand is this: in a galaxy filled with combat engineers, the Bad Batch are artists. Echo had never really known much about art. At least... that's what he'd always thought. New body, new squad - maybe it was time to look at things in a whole new way.

Summary
What if...the Bad Batch were deployed to Umbara?
Days after being deemed battle ready and cleared for combat, Hunter, Crosshair, Tech and Wrecker receive orders sending them to Umbara, as part of the main attack force tasked with capturing the planet.
But the Batch quickly find that, despite a lifetime of conditioning, nothing can quite prepare them for the Hell that is War.
An alternative story line loosely based around the Umbara arc.
