Summary
Many years ago, when Jiang Cheng presented as an omega, his mother forced him to swear that he would never reveal the truth of what happened on that day. And so he did, he swore to renounce his true nature, the promise heavy on his heart, but he kept it, or at least he tried. For 20 years he fought hard to keep his omega buried deep within him. In short - Jiang Cheng pretends to be an alpha until his body fights off the effects of the suppressants, and it, oh so fortunatelly, happens when he is chasing after the demonic cultivator who is ready to lose his soul if it'll bring him his revenge.
