Read up to chp 10. Translation of a Chinese MDZS fanfic following JC as he is cursed in childform post-canon. You are getting to see his defenses crack as his daytime child brain drops his inner dreams and wants to all, being free of the horrors of his past. His night adult brain cringes from this, but his spiritual energy is gone, so he is just a helpless child with little leathal force.
LXC is caring for him during this time. On him and LQ are privy to the curse, as they help JC research the cure. Seems to be tied to a bell that JGY was researching.
WY figured it out pretty quick and has been enjoying pampering his shidi to his heart’s content.
JL figured it out accidentally after watching JC breakfown from not finding his parents and run into his old bedroom that he shared with WY at Lotus Pier.
The author kept a very good hold on the canon characterizations and the translator is doing an amazing job conveying the essence.
Worth waiting forever for the chps to drop!
