Eli could be either a baby or a very small toddler (like around 1/1.5) and the pack is facing whatever threat of the week. Stiles is staying behind with Eli to keep him safe while the pack goes off to hunt down the threat. Only the threat shows up at the loft/hale house and it’s only stiles there with Eli.
