Summary
It’s far too noisy in here, almost like a physically oppressive thing. It makes Eddie’s skin feel funny, like it’s too tight and wants to vibrate right off his body.
It’s way better at the bar, away from the dance floor. Too close to the speakers and the music rattles Eddie’s chest, makes it feel like his heart is pulsing to the music. The air in his lungs is thudding along with the beat. It’s bearable, for a little while, but Eddie’s been here for a couple of hours now and he can feel himself hitting his limit. He keeps one hand in his pocket so he can pull on the loose strands there; letting them slide against the pads of his fingers, again and again. He wriggles his toes in his boots; it gives him another sensation to focus on.

Summary
Sebastian remembers, in technicolor detail, the moment he first saw Alex.
Nine years old, blinking out behind his mothers back at the boy with scraped knees and empty eyes. He remembers the lake-water stillness, the quiet stretching out before him.
This is a story about trauma and healing. About the collapse of the things we thought were true and the re-making of our realities in the image of something stronger.
This is a story about falling in love.
This is a story about re-building Rome.

Summary
There’s an old photo, grainy, electric, legend now, of Steve Harrington with bloodied gums and a grin like a threat. His mouth is split open in something too sharp to be joy, and his eyes burn with the kind of defiance that could level cities. Like he’d set the world on fire just to prove it couldn’t touch him.
Eddie remembers. He'd seen it.
Punk was a snarl. Punk was a fist through the drywall. Punk was angry in a way that felt like home. It howled when he couldn't speak, let him bite down when the self hatred frothed up too hot. It didn’t ask him to be okay, it dared him to be furious.
That picture, really, had redrawn the entire trajectory of Eddie's life, lit the fuse on something that had been quietly smoldering in him for years.
Pity Steve Harrington had turned out to be such a fucking sellout.

“You don’t get to do that.”
“What? Make fun of my boyfriend for his love of Shania Twain?” Eddie scoffs, mildly.
On the steering wheel, Steve’s fingers tighten until his knuckles turn white. “Boyfriend?” he repeats, a little shaky.
Eddie hums. “Isn’t that what you are?” he asks, looking at Steve goofy. “Part of the time, anyway.”

Summary
Despite all of the insanity around him, Steve can feel only one thing.
The sensation of something - someone - behind him, on the ground, where they’re huddled together.
There’s something under the truck, he thinks. Oh god, there’s something here. I was right, and I didn’t check.
Something followed us out.—
Life after Vecna's death is everything that Steve expected it would be: new job, new house, new beginnings.
He’s fine, honestly.
Everything is fine - other than the fact that his new home in Forest Hills feels under constant watch from something in the shadows, he keeps finding animal corpses drained of blood around town, he can’t hold a relationship down to save himself, Dustin keeps leaving him increasingly concerning cryptic phone messages… and there’s some sort of sinister entity occupying the woods near the Creel House.
So, fine. Totally.Series
