For a week, Katsuki avoids Izuku while simultaneously burning holes through him with a dark, suffocating stare.
Driven to a chaotic dorm party to escape the stares, a heavily intoxicated Izuku flees to the kitchen, only for a slurring, whiskey-scented Katsuki to corner him against the fridge. The heavy, explosive bickering quickly dissolves into a dangerous, pull. Unable to resist the tension any longer, Katsuki drags Izuku upstairs to his bedroom. Gross. Izuku thinks. I’m so gross. But it’s just a fantasy. Barely even that. Everyone has something like that, don’t they? If I could kill this person, I would. If I could rob a bank with no consequences, I would. It’s completely normal, as long as you don’t act on it.
It’d never work, anyway. A mating bond only sticks if it’s done in heat. And Kacchan’s been on a heavy dose of suppressants since he first presented.
Or,
Izuku gets a little insecure. Katsuki gets exactly what he wants, but maybe not in the exact way he wanted it.

Summary
Izuku realized, as Katsuki tried to plug the blood flowing from his nose, that maybe what their coworkers said was true. Maybe they tended to get a little too rough with their sparring.
And maybe as pro heroes they shouldn’t have been sparring to the point of collapse. But if there was one thing for certain, neither of them were able to walk away from a challenge. Izuku couldn't expect himself to, not when the punches felt so thrilling and Bakugou looked so good covered in bruises.
