Summary
Acting as Anakin Skywalker's confidante is probably the most painful aspect of pretending to be kind and sympathetic Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. It seems that every other week, Skywalker is in love with another paramour who will leave him heartbroken within months. And as Skywalker's mentor and father figure, it is Darth Sidious' job to pick up those pieces and lend a compassionate ear to Skywalker's suffering. Every. Single. Time.
It's only after several years of this routine that Sidious realizes that he can solve two of his problems in one fell swoop: if he can convince Skywalker that he is in love with his old Jedi master, Kenobi, then Skywalker will inevitably have his heart broken by the man when their relationship fizzles into nothing. Then his strongest tether to the Light will be severed, and Sidious can claim Skywalker as his apprentice.
Because surely Skywalker's feelings for Kenobi are not returned. Surely Kenobi has more sense than to be enamored beyond reason with his former padawan. Surely all Sidious has to do is push Skywalker in Kenobi's direction and then watch the fallout.

Summary
“Good boy, Richie,” Eddie says softly, ruffling his fur. “You want a treat?”
Behind him, he hears a swift choking noise.
“Um.”
Eddie slowly turns around, a sinking feeling in his chest. “Rich. What are— what are you doing here?”
Richie looks between Eddie and the dog, eyebrows furrowed. “I have a key? And, um. I know you said you were out of milk, so.” He holds up the jug of milk in his hand, as if that explains it. “Milk,” he says weakly.
Eddie moves to step in front of his dog, as if that’ll hide him, and slowly takes the offered milk.
“So, what, you were just going to replace my milk while I was out? Like some sort of reverse milk thief? What—”
“Is your dog named Richie?”
Richie, the traitor, barks at the sound of his name.
Eddie bites his lip. “No.”

Eddie moves to LA and names his dog Richie.

„Ähm, wie wär’s mal mit anklopfen?“, fragte Adam deshalb auch direkt zurück. Er wollte mit der Akte, die er gerade durcharbeitete, endlich fertig werden und hätte auf irgendwelche Störungen liebend gern verzichtet.
„Mach‘ ich bei Leo nie“, sagte der Typ jetzt. Und weiter: „Ist er nicht da?“
Adam zog unweigerlich die Augenbrauen nach oben. Was war das denn für ein Spezialist?
„Sieht nicht so aus, was? Wer bist du denn überhaupt?“ Adam hatte sich kurzerhand entschieden, den Typen zu duzen, denn wer einfach so in irgendwelche Büros reinplatzte, der hatte sicher auch kein Problem damit, nicht gesiezt zu werden.
„Rainer. Steuerfahndung. Wo isser denn?“
