Summary
A follow up to “Who are Men to Gods”. This occurs in the years between William sending his father back to a chard basement office and the present day. You don’t need to read the first part, but it might give perspective.
Mulder recalls everything that happened up to the end of season 11 and a few weeks after. Shot by the Smoking Man, William collects information on Mulder and Scully through their dreams. He attempts to rebuild his identity as their son. Our duo ultimately encounters William while flying to London. They meet with Gibson Praise because the two gifted individuals have designed a plan to send Mulder’s and Scully’s consciousness back into their bodies at the end of S8E21– Existence. William has honed his gifts, and with the help of Gibson, they have gathered all the information to reveal the syndicate’s plans and expose the truth.
With this knowledge, our dynamic duo returns to an earlier time hoping to affect a better future. However, Scully warns her seventeen-year-old son of the risks, of being locked into the body of an infant just a few days old. Realising his error, William sends his father back in time, to the day the X-Files office burnt down.
And so begins part two.
