Annabel never wanted to spend her evening at the circus. Dragged there by her worried father, who has watched his once-bright daughter grow increasingly withdrawn and guarded around men, she expects nothing more than loud music, forced smiles, and a performance she has no interest in seeing.
As act after act passes beneath the dazzling lights, her boredom only deepens. The laughter of the crowd feels distant, the spectacle meaningless. She counts the minutes until she can leave.Till the final performer steps into the spotlight.

Summary
Annabel Lee was a menace to society, Lenore was sure of it. One day without being dragged into a scheme or plot, that’s all she wanted.
Okay, so maybe Lenore was more than willing to indulge her lover in her debauchery, even when exhausted out of her mind, but it wasn’t like she was ever going to admit it. Annabel would never let her live it down if she ever knew that, and her humongous ego didn’t need another boost for the third time this week.
Annabel Lee was a terror to face once she had gotten an idea into her head, and lucky for her, Lenore was just as chaotic and headstrong too.
