“I don’t know,” Droidbait considered. “It wasn’t really a feeling. It was like I knew that there was a danger there that wasn’t there before. I knew the same way I know you’re sitting in front of me right now.”
“Cutup, does that sound like what you felt?” Hevy asked.
Cutup was already shaking his head. “It wasn’t like danger exactly. More like- I don’t know. I just had a feeling, I don’t know how to describe it.”
“A feeling from the object?” Fives prompted.
“No,” Cutup said. “Like- static. Like the air on Kamino before a big storm. Or a hallway junction where you have to pick a direction, and you can tell that one direction is worse than the other.”
Everyone absorbed that for a moment. “Hallway junctions have better or worse directions?” Echo asked.
Hevy snorted. “Only if there’s a long-neck in one direction.”
Or: Domino Squad is Force-Sensitive. All five of them.

“He thinks he’s the protagonist,” Neito said, mind blank with fury and an uncharacteristic full smile on his face. On his left, Kaibara turned sharply to eye him.
“Monoma?” He asked, concern creeping into his voice. “You okay there?”
“I’m great,” Neito told him. “I’m excellent. Because I am going to crush Bakugo Katsuki into tiny, gooey pieces.”
Kendo groaned. “Monoma,” she complained, dramatically putting a single enlarged hand over her face. Neito was momentarily delighted by her uncharacteristic theatrics.
“You’re being unsuitable again,” Kaibara told him.
Or: Monoma Neito recognizes desperate when he sees it.
The Cavalry Battle goes a little differently.

“I’m sorry, Sakura-chan, I guess I assumed. Do you not want to be a career shinobi?”
That startled her out of her thoughts. “What? No! I mean, no, that’s not why I’m-” She bit her lip. “Did… Iruka-sensei, did Kakashi-sensei also recommend me for Chunin?”
Iruka breathed very slowly. Sage, he really hated that man. He’d avoided Sarutobi’s other favored shinobi as much as humanly possible, for various reasons, but there was no avoiding Naruto getting assigned to the man’s Genin team. If anything, Hatake’s lackluster performance as a Jounin-sensei only cemented Iruka’s ill-will.
But he understood Sakura’s loyalty. In fact, it was one of the reasons he’d chosen her.

Summary
Droidbait felt himself get more and more tense as the seconds went by. Something was very wrong. He still didn’t see anything, but it felt like every hair on his body was standing on end, and a slow fear was creeping up his spine. Droidbait… backed away from his post on the ledge of the deck.
It was only seconds later when he finally spotted it. A landing ship of some kind. In that moment, every instinct he didn’t think he had screamed at him, and Droidbait ducked a blaster bolt he hadn’t seen coming.

It starts when eight o’clock goes by and Agent Coulson doesn’t show up at the Tower’s communal kitchen. Which is – unusual. Steve has to check the calendar to make sure he’s not mixing up his days, which, no, it is definitely Wednesday. Coulson is very prompt. He’s always at the Tower at eight in the morning on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
“JARVIS, has Agent Coulson checked in today?” Steve asked, wondering if maybe he just hadn’t wanted coffee from the kitchen this morning.
“Agent Coulson has not been in the building today, Captain,” the AI announced.
Or: Clint gets kidnapped, again, then saved by Coulson, as usual, but then he finds out his bad-ass ninja significant other apparently works with the Avengers, which, wow, way to cheat on that Captain America bet Phil.
