It was late at night, and it was raining cats, dogs and the kitchen sink.
Danny was idly looking out of his window, bored out of his mind and tired of writing out his Syllabus for the upcoming semester.
He noticed a figure outside of the window, running around in this horrible weather.
He's bored enough, he decides - "Hey! Go right and stop at the porch with the green light!"
A Young teacher, Daniel invites a drenched, tired and grateful stranger into his apartment, and sparks fly.

Summary
The Kingdom of Amity fell more than 100 years ago.
The castle and town grew into a veritable Eden of a Forest in that time, forcing its people to flee West and under the banner of the former Advisor for the Kingdom of Amity, Vladimir Masters.
Sadly, something blocks the people from the Masters domain, and Vladimir himself, from plundering the riches of the Forest of Amity, and for 100 years, no one knew why, they could only guess.
And so the Forest of Amity, a maze full of beauty and wonder, welcomed any and all who were not connected to Masters, yet also pushed away any who weren't of Amity, as if awaiting a time when its people could safely return to it and flourish.
If not for one Knight and an accident in his attempt to travel through the Forest, no one would know the Why of it all...nor of the treasure that awaited in its center.

Turned into half-men, half-reptiles, they find themselves in audience with the undersea Lamia Queen who directs them to her counterpart, the land dwelling Serpentlord, the Raja Naga, who has been acting oddly aggressive lately.
Cue Vanitas being stolen because of his bratty nature...and his overwhelming magical prowess, of course.
