“Full of surprises, aren’t you?” Katsuki breathes, gaze darting around. There are scars on his face, marring his freckles, a bright one across his eyebrow running right up into his curly green hair; another lower down on the curve of his jaw, yet another across his upper lip. Katsuki runs his eyes over it all, slow, leaving for last those green eyes, now narrowed on him, furious.
Like they never left.
“Midoriya Izuku.” It’s all there. Everything he’d gleaned in the bar before this man had turned and tried to run from him. Everything he’d almost let the bastard make him doubt. “Not dead.” Katsuki watches the sink of the edges of Deku’s lips. “Not quirkless.” Re-meets his widening eyes. “And what a foul fucking mouth.”
